She was a long time employee of the former Vermillion County Hospital, where she was an Accredited Medical Record Technician and assistant administrator. She served as secretary to the medical staff for their monthly meetings and was an instrumental member of the groups that oversaw the first accreditation for the hospital as well as the groups that planned and made the ”new”  hospital a reality.
Alberta joined the First Christian Church of Clinton in 1952. Activities that she enjoyed included reading, crocheting, and shopping. In earlier years she and Jock enjoyed camping and other travel with friends.
She took immense pride in watching her family grow and thrive. She kept in touch with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to hear about their activities and accomplishments. She was tremendously proud of their achievements.
She was very generous in her definition of family, welcoming anyone who was able to join them for family and holiday meals. Homemade noodles, blackberry cobbler, and Divinity were among her kitchen specialties.
She is survived by her sons: Jerry, and his wife, Betty, of Clinton; and Jack, and his wife, Fran, of Monroe, MI.
