Charles A. Markello 86, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011
at Union Hospital of Terre Haute at 1:30pm. He was born August
14, 1925 to Joe Markello and Margaret Baldwin Markello in
Clinton, IN. He served in the United States Marines from 1943-
1964 as a 1st Lieutenant. He was a life member of the American
Legion #140, and a life member of the Marine Core league of
Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Step-Mom; Ellen
Markello, brother; Robert Markello, a step-brother; Murl Carty,
and a daughter in-law; Darla Thomason.
He is survived by his companion; Dorothy R. Thomason of Clinton.
Two sons; Jess Thomason of Iowa, and Melvin & (Mindy)
Thomason of San Diego, CA. A step-brother; Jackie & (Ina) Carty
of Swayzee, IN. Also several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 28th at Frist Funeral Home
from 4-8pm. Services will be Monday at 10:30am at the funeral
home with Rev. Jess Thomason officaiting. Burial will follow in
Walnut Grove Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by
the Marine Core League of Terre Haute, American Legion #140,
and VFW Post #6653.

Sorry to hear about Charlie passing. He was a good man and was a good neighbor. May you find peace in the memories of him and knowing that he is in a better place.
