Clara Belle Morgan of Clinton went to be with her lord on April 12, 2014.  She was born March 31, 1936 to Frank and Ola (Staggs) Walls.
She was a charter member of the Rockville Assembly of God and a current member of the Clinton Assembly of God.  She was very active in the church and had served as a Sunday school teacher and board member at both churches.
She and her husband Richard Morgan lived in Bloomingdale until their divorce.  Clara raised four children while working full time at Columbia Records in Terre Haute.  She later moved to Clinton and worked at Vermillion Convalescence Center.  After her retirement she sewed and altered clothes and produced clothing, purses, and other Native American-style products for Sagebrush Jewelry.
She is survived by three of her children:  David Morgan of Centenary IN, Anita Kelly (Bobby) of Port Angeles WA, and Terry Morgan (Shelia) of Tallapoosa GA, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Elaine Benson in 2000. Visitation will be 4-8 Tuesday at Frist Funeral Home.  Services will be held 2 pm Wednesday at Frist with Reverend Russell Hauser officiating.  Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.

She was the first to welcome our family. She truly was an amazing person and you could see how much she loved the Lord. She will be missed but we know we will see her again. We send our prayers to her family.

I extend my sympathy to Clara's family. I remember her from being in the same class at the Bridgeton school. She was always a very kind person and a blessing to be near. The last time I saw and visited with her was at a School Reunion several years ago.

Clara will forever be remembered as one of the sweetest ladies I've ever known. Though I have only known her for a little over a year, she made sure she always said hello to me and shook my hand, such a lady of grace and love. Heaven has another angel to watch over us all. God Bless
