She was a dear family friend! An amazing seamstress, story teller, hostess. I spent many nights in the Muzzarelli home in my childhood/teen years and always enjoyed being there ... she and "Check-o" made it hard to leave w/ their smiles, laughter and entertaining talk. My parents loved their company, made all the more enjoyable when "Sis. Helen" would recount a message she'd heard preached or an inspiring song she had listened to. Sis. Helen and Check-o never put on airs, or tried to impress. They were simply who they were and lived a happy life in their simple, yet lovely home. April and I often spent my visit hearing the voice of Sis. Helen speaking of the goodness of the Lord. You could tell that Jesus lived there too!
