Chester E. “Chet” Wallace, 93, of Clinton, died Monday, January 21, 2019, at 11:42 pm at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born June 16, 1925, in Clinton, to James and Anna Martin Wallace.
He was a member of Stateline Christian Church and a US Navy veteran from World War ll.  He worked in mining and construction and was owner of Wallace Roofing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Clarence, Collett, Ray, Roy, and Earl Wallace; 3 sisters, Ethel Hardman, Esther Hollingsworth, and Nellie Firestone; 1 grandson, Robert Bryan Wallace.
Chet is survived by his wife, Jeannette Howe Wallace; 3 sons, Robert (Sharon) Wallace of Clinton,  Randall (Sandra) Wallace of Clinton, and Mark (Connie) Wallace of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Nancy (Richard) Shonkwiler of Burlington, KY; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-children; and several nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation; however funeral services will begin at 11 am on Friday, January 25, 2019 with Rev. John Puckett officiating.  Military honors will be performed.  Burial will follow services at Spangler Cemetery in Blanford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Stateline Christian Church.

So sorry to hear of Chet's passing. He was a wonderful man and we know he will missed by all who knew him. May God Bless and comfort you all during this time. We know he is having a wonderful time up there! What a reunion for him!
