First Funeral Home

Jerry Krasek, 80, of Clinton, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at 5:03 pm at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born October 20, 1938, in Clinton, to George and Anna Barkley Krasek.
On December 20, 1958, he married Fran Hubbard and she survives.
Jerry was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church.
He retired from Inland Steel; he was a bricklayer and volunteered bricklaying and repairing several projects in Clinton.  He was a member of the Bocce Club  Hall of Fame;  he started the Softball Hall of Fame; he was a Commissioner of the American Softball Association (fast pitch);  and he was an avid bowler, having bowled for the Moose Team.  Jerry loved to golf, spending many hours on the golf course when he could.  And he most definitely was a Dodger’s fan---Go Dodgers !

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brent Allen; a sister, Margaret Ann Shannon; a brother, Ron Krasek.
In addition to his wife, Fran, he is survived by a son, Bradley Krasek of Crown Point, IN; a brother, John (Judy) Krasek of Arizona; 3 grandaughters, Taylor, Rachel, and Sarah; a grandson, Brent; a great-granddaughter, Lyla; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from noon to 2 pm at the Cayuga Christian Church.  A Memorial Service  will be held at 2 pm with Rev. Ashton Stewart officiating.  Cremation was chosen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Cayuga Christian Church or the Hospice of the Wabash Valley In memory of Jerry Krasek.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the kind and professional care they gave to Jerry.

I will miss you alot Jerry...you were definitely someone whom I am proud to say was MY FRIEND. I'm sure you and Brent are enjoying your visit after all these years!! My thoughts and prayers are with the family. We all know you will be with us when we need you. See you someday my friend. To the family...if I'm not at your house I'm only a phone call away!!!! So sorry for your loss Fran. You and Jerry were like an aunt and uncle to me. Always coming to all our family events. Jerry, I am gonna miss hearing one more game of bocce against you and my dad. Fran if you ever need anything just give us a call. Love, Kerry and Sherry.
