James Robert Milbourn, 86, of West Terre Haute, died on September 3, 2019, in Union Hospital Terre Haute.  He was born December 10, 1932, in Marshall, IL to Emory and Gertrude Milbourn.
James served in the US Army during the Korean War, from 1952-1954.  He married Delores Faye Godbey on June 25, 1955 in Paris, IL.  He owned his own business, J.R. Milbourn and Son, for 26 years.  James loved his family.  He was full of humor and loved to make people laugh.  He was full of knowledge, which he passed onto his kids. He enjoyed racing and fishing as well as drinking coffee with the guys at Bolton Rd. Store.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and his parents.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Kathy) Milbourn of West Terre Haute; a daughter, Kim Milbourn of New Goshen; four grandchildren, J.R. Milbourn, Jesse Gibbs (Ginny), Shane Gibbs, all of New Goshen, and Lindsey Hill (Kevin) of Terre Haute; eight great-grandchildren, Hunter , Emma, Wyatt, Maddy, Levi, Ethan, Morgan, and Dylan; two brothers, Jack Milbourn (Janet) and Bill Milbourn (Betty); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00-1:00 PM at Frist Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 1:00 PM with Bob Roush officiating.  Military honors will be performed.  Burial will be in Shirley Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made at www.fristfuneralhome.com.

I didn't know James well, but I'll never forget him. He delivered loads of white rock to my home on a few occasions. If I recall correctly, he drove an older model green colored truck.?He was such a friendly, hard working gentleman. I enjoyed chatting with him. Such a nice man! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.❤
