Hope,

We had a wonderful Celebration of your Life at the Legion on the Seventh, but we're not letting you go. Your Labor Day cook out continues; we've all agreed.

I can't look out my kitchen window, across the back yard, toward your bedroom window without feeling that life-size, Hope-shaped hole in my world. We shared so much these past twenty years: holidays, loss of parents, graduations, plans for the future.

You're always in my heart. Farewell until we meet again.
