She was born April 3, 1996, in Terre Haute, to Manuel and Cindy Haltom Akers.
She was previously an assistant manager at the Family Dollar Store.  She attended the Lyford Bible Church.  Her greatest hobby was spending time with her nieces and nephews and her dog.

Ashlee was preceded in death by her Grandfather Billy Joe Haltom and her Uncle Johnny Haltom.
Survivors include her parents, Manuel and Cindy Haltom Akers; brothers, Ryan (Katie) Lemmons of Clinton, Bryan (Danielle) Lemmons of Clinton; grandmother, Mary Jo Haltom of Rosedale; grandparents, Manuel Sr. and Brenda Akers of Terre Haute; nieces and nephews, Macee, Preston, Bryson, and Camdyn Lemmons; aunt, Teresa Haltom; uncles, Jeff (Becky) and Greg Haltom; and several cousins.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 4 to 8 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jeremy Coombes officiating.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

I don’t know you or your daughter but my heart goes out to you. I lost my only daughter almost 17 years ago from Cocaine. She left a 3 year old daughter who I raised. We also donated her organs. I saw the video your daughter did for FB. Addiction is just so sad. I’ll be praying for your family. So very very hard to loose a child

Ashlee was a very good friend of mine. I am still very numb knowing she is gone. She was a very amazing young woman and I’ll always miss her. As my father always told me when my grandfather died, “just think he is on a cruise ship and eventually he will be back and you will be able to see him again!” Until I see you again ash I will love you like a sister always and always remember all the times we had hanging out after school and having sleep overs! And to Cindy and Manuel, I love you guys like my own parents! You guys are such amazing people and I miss you so much! If you guys need anything don’t hesitate to contact my dad to get ahold of me! Love you all! I am very sorry I can’t make it, but I will come see y’all soon! Rest easy ash, until we meet again! <3

Ryan I don't know where to start! I love you as my son, I have known your family for years and years. I got KOKO from your family when I worked with your mom at the Clinton Hospital. I remember Ashlee she was the cuties girl so polite I loved her too. They would ride their bikes to see mom and me. I have only knew you for a few years But you are my family and I'll be here if you need me. See ya soon with all my love and deepest prayers for and your family. Thank you for being such a great meat man and friend to me. Love Mary Ann

Cindy, I have known you it seems like forever even if we don't see or speak everyday I'm here for you. We got to be great friends while working at the Clinton Hospital and we still are. I can't think of anything to say but my heart goes out to you and to let you know I'm here if you need me. I have became friends with Ryan(my meat man) who I have said he is my son too. Ash was a beautiful young lady who everyone loved her. I still have KOKO too. Love you Cindy with all my deepest love and prayers. God bless all your family and my prayers for you.

I have to say I do not know Ashlee but, I would like to say she is an amazing young lady. Her gift of life is so great! Being on the other side of getting such a gift. In November 2019 someone just like Ashlee gave my husband the the gift of life with a kidney. Being on the receiving end of such a gift is so amazing. With out people like her many people would not live! Ashlee you are such an amazing person I know the lord has a special place for you! And know I pray for all the family’s of people who donate a gift of life. I pray that the lord takes care of each of them. God bless you and, your family. My heart goes out to you.
