Thomas D. Winters, 93, of Clinton, passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2020.
He was born on March 3, 1927, in Shepardsville, IN, to James and Alice Winters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife P. Joanne; a step-great-granddaughter, Miranda Harper; brothers-in-law Marvin Edington, Larry Neidlinger, and Bill Daniels; and sister-in-law Jenny Knight.
Survivors include; his sister, Norma Daniels of Ocala FL; his sons Lesley (Peggy) of Terre Haute and Mike (Mona) of Montana; three grandsons; one step-grandson; four great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by sisters-in-laws, Greta Edington of South Carolina and Judy Neidlinger of Noblesville; brother-in-law, Larry Knight of Paris, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Tom worked for Merchants Freight, Dennis Trucking and Rodgers Construction.  He was a member of the Half Century Club in Clinton and of Teamsters Local Union #135.  He was also a prior member of the Masonic Lodge.
Per his wishes, there will be no visitation.  A private family service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 2 pm at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Frist Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I am so very sorry to hear about your dads passing. I cut his hair last week, and I knew he didn’t feel good. He was such a nice man. I really liked him. I remember he and your mom. They were such a perfect couple. Prayers for your whole family. I will miss him.

tom and i use to ride to work together years ago he and joann were great people, rest in peace my friend!!!!
