Earl E. Kelsheimer, 95, of Shepardsville, died August 12, 2020, at 1:31 AM, in his residence.  He was born December 2, 1924, in Shepardsville, to Howard Morgan Kelsheimer and Anna Mae Alkire Kelsheimer.  
He was a retired coal miner and was a WWII US Army Air Corps Veteran.  He was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alta Mae Kelsheimer; three brothers, Charles, Harold, and Robert Kelsheimer; and a grandson, TJ Cloyd.
He is survived by his children, Billie and Roy Dowd of Clinton, Anna and Roger Reed of Bedford, IN, Eric and Carolyn Kelsheimer of Clinton, Susan and Tim Cloyd of Clinton, Joe and Lori Kelsheimer of Shepardsville, and Gene and Anna Kelsheimer of Shepardsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Ruth and Bob Edwards of Clinton.
Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, at Frist Funeral Home.  Services will be held Saturday, at 11:00 AM at Frist with Reverend George Guinn officiating.  Military honors will be performed. Burial will be in Shepherds Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parke-Vermillion Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.fristfuneralhome.com.

We were blessed to have known Gene and spend some time with him. He was full of knowledge and proud of his service in the Air Corps. We swapped many a story about our time in the service for our country. Our condolences, love and prayers to the Kelsheimer family. Gene will be greatly missed. God bless.
