Richard “Dick” Riva, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 9:50 pm at Union Hospital in Terre Haute with his family at his side.
He was born in Sandytown, In on January 10, 1940, to Oliver Leo and Archilene Blackburn Riva.
He was married to Jeanetta Wirth on November 2, 1960 in Clinton, and she survives him.
Dick was retired from Eli Lilly and Co. where he was a boilermaker.  He graduated from Clinton High School Class of 1960.  He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and of the Izaak Walton Fish and Game Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Annetta Riva.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Alonzo) Wise of Terre Haute and Coletta (Brad) Russell of Clinton; a son, Mark Riva of West Terre Haute; a sister, Susie (Eugene) Thomas of Clinton; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Blake, Mackenie Nelson; Wyatt Watkins, and Spencer Mahurin; 2 great-grandchildren, Maverick Doan and Maddon Blake; one nephew; two nieces; and several cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 3 to 6 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 6 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Troy Teague officiating.  Burial will take place on Monday, October 19 at 1 pm at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss. Such a nice man. I met him when I worked for a contractor at Eli Lilly. In later years I was able to talk him into singing a little karaoke when I was running a show. I wanna say he did some Elvis...... we had such a good time and he had a great voice!!!

So sorry to read of Dicks passing, I was in Fairview a few weeks ago and drove by where you used to live, and thought of Dick. When we were in school he was older than most of us and looked like a man among boys, but if you knew him her was a warm and caring person that will be missed by you and all his family and friends. May he Rest In Peace.
