Mary Alice Buffo, 91, of Clinton, passed away at her residence on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:19 am with her family by her side.
She was born in Fontanet, IN on November 7, 1928, to Zenith Dean and Grace Long Van Hook.  
She was retired from the Pillsbury Plant in Terre Haute.
Mary Alice was a former member of the Order of the Moose.  She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to bowl and to dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Mike Glover and Marke Glover; a daughter Carol Hamrick; six sisters, Mildred Walters, Mable Detrick, Helen Van Hook, Jean Chubrillo, Joan Wood, and Dorothy Rolando; two brothers, Jimmy Van Hook, and Wayne Van Hook.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennie (Mark) Gruner of Montezuma and Cheryl and Dave Cochran of Terre Haute; a son, Domenic B. Buffo of Clinton; a brother, Bill Van Hook of Fontanet; grandchildren, Michael Glover and Sloan Kendall, Jamie Glover, Greg Gruner, Jeff Gruner, Mary Jo and Kyle Gossett, Domenic R. and Brittany Buffo, Alllyson Buffo and Jeff Schmeltz, Kristi Boyll, and Brian Fries; great-grandchildren, Michael Glover, Jason Gore, Jayden Gore, Deider Buffo, Ledger Buffo, Raylan Schmeltz, Carmella Schmeltz, Amelia Gossett, Kaitlyn Boyll, Kayleigh Boyll, Carter Boyll; her dog, Millie; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 11 am to 1 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 1 pm at the funeral home with Celebrant Marta Adubato officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute.

Mary Alice was a dear friend and a beautiful lady. As long as I can remember she has been a part of my life.; close friend of my mom since they were young women. So many good memories. I will miss her. Condolences to the family.

Sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. What a wonderful beautiful woman she was. Just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the out. I will miss our chats. Jennie, you have so many of your Mom’s qualities. She was so proud of you.
