Mary Catherine Payton Evol, 87, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 3:30 pm at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
She was born December 17, 1933, in Clinton, to William C. and Catherine M. Sutton Payton.
She was previously employed at Sun Electric in Crystal Lake, IL; she was also a cook in various school cafeterias, especially in District #118 in Wauconda, IL.  She was a graduate of Clinton High School Class of 1952.  During high school, Mary worked at Dagley’s restaurant in Clinton.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dandy Evol; a son Gary Evol; a great- granddaughter, Jeana Rose; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Daniel (Linda) Evol of Jasonville, daughters, Kathy Evol Nicotra (Peter DuffY) of Homestead, Fl, Cindy Evol Millison (Dan) of Island Lake, IL, Jayne Evol of Vero Beach, Fl, Teresa Evol of Cllinton, Lynn Evol Bowman (Kevin) of Macks Creek, Mo, and Amy Evol Smith of Montezuma; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great- grandchildren; brother, Edward Butch Payton (Jackie) of St.Bernice; and sister, Bonnie Fleming of Tampa, FL;  and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 12 at 2 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Charlie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Miss Mary was one of a kind and will be sadly missed. I loved her like my own. I'm with you I spirit today, tomorrow and always Lynny, even if I can't be there physically. My sincerest condolences to the entire family. You're all in our prayers. Love you!
