Stella “Maxine” (Kelley) Hunt, 98, of Clinton, Indiana left this world for her heavenly home on May 18th, 2021. She was born in Hazel Bluff on September 28th, 1922 to Ruby and Gerald Kelley.
Maxine loved the Lord and was an active member at the First Christian Church of Clinton. She worked at many facilities throughout her life including the Clinton Sewing Factory and the Root Glass Company of Terre Haute, but her most treasured time of employment was spent working for Mr. Pete Farmer at Freitag Weinhardt as their payroll clerk for many years.
Maxine enjoyed singing and spending time outdoors in her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved her little yorkie, Bert, who was her constant companion. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family, which always came first, after the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Gerald Kelley, husband Dietz Hunt, daughter Sharon Ann Lloyd, and sister Eileen Richardson. Maxine is survived by her sister, Geraldine Watts of Dana, Indiana; daughter, Allena Belser (Craig) of Clinton, Indiana; son, Randy Lloyd (Holly) of New Palestine, Indiana; 6 grandchildren: Shelly Willis (Randy) of Evansville, Indiana, Angela Smith (David) of Marshall, Indiana, Traci Pratt (Geoff) of Chicago, Illinois, Kayla Brown (Ronnie) of Fountaintown, Indiana, Sara Kelley (Sean) of Columbus, Indiana, Greg Hunt (April) of Franklin, Indiana; 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, May 21st, 2021 from 2pm to 3pm at Frist Funeral Home. Services will begin at 3pm, with Pastor Craig Belser officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dana Christian School, 129 Maple Street, Dana, IN 47847, or Parke Vermillion Human Shelter, 1884 State Road 63, Hillsdale, IN 47854. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
