Betty (McCullough) Brewer, 88, of Clinton passed away at 2:45 P.M. in Clinton Gardens Nursing Home on January 22, 2024.
She was born July 17,1935, in Clay County Indiana to Willie McCullough and Nedra Myers McCullough. On June 18,1955, she married Charles Ray Brewer in Centerpoint.
Betty and Chuck were owners of Wabash Turkey Farm. She worked for South Vermillion School Corp. at Van Duyn for twenty plus years and Ste- Mar Ace Hardware for many years. She was also employed at Rosenblatt's Department Store until her retirement.
She was a 1953 graduate of Ashboro High School, where she was involved in High School plays and was a 10 year 4-H member.
Betty was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was always willing to help with kitchen duties, whether it be Bible School, church dinners or fundraisers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Bobby Dale McCullough and her husband Charles Ray Brewer.
She is survived by two sons, Steven R. and Karen Brewer of Clinton, and Michael W. and Debbie Brewer of Brazil. Grandchildren, Jason and Angie Brewer of Clinton, Robin and Patrick Cowen of Clinton, Amy and Jonathan Murray of Plainfield, and Austin and Morgan Brewer of Brazil, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. One sister-in-law, Hazel McCullough of Cory, one brother-in-law Forrest and Shirley Brewer of Cloverdale and several+ nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday (January 28,2024) from 12:00-2:00p.m. at Frist Funeral Home. Funeral at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Duane Caperton officiating. Interment in Helt's Prairie Cemetery at Hillsdale, IN 47854.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, at 11096 S. 250 E. Clinton, IN 47842, or Helt's Prairie Cemetery at 8575 S. 275 E. Hillsdale, IN 47854.
