Betty E. Gossett Anderson started her journey to Heaven at 12:50 a.m. Friday February 23, 2024, at Clinton Gardens.

She was born in Clinton, Indiana on April 21, 1929, to Guy Little and Lena Williams Little who precede her in death. Also, preceding Betty in death are her sisters Phyllis Scott and Norma Morrison.

Betty graduated from Clinton High School in 1947. She worked at G.C. Murphy prior to marrying Kenneth Gossett from Shepardsville in 1949. They had many happy years together until his untimely death in October 1968. She later married Bob Anderson who also preceded her in death in November 2019.

Betty worked at Horney’s Variety store for several years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Betty loved visiting others in nursing homes and hospitals trying to brighten their days.

Survivors include her son Richard Gossett (Sue) of Clinton, Indiana, daughter Sherry Nagel (Scott) of Brook, Indiana, grandchildren Austin Gossett (Annette), Dylan Gossett (Anne), Ben Nagel (Debbie), Jon Nagel (Eli), Michelle Cooksey (James), Katrina Trampski (Mat), Amanda Bowles and Jennifer Decker (Riley), twenty great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her special step granddaughter Chandelle Samagaio who always made her look pretty and her dear friend of 90 years Margie Lapworth.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home Monday February 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Coombes officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton.
