Blanche L. Gilbert, 88, of Blanford, passed away on May 5, 2023, at Union Hospital.

She was born in Blanford on November 21, 1934, to Herman Jackson and Martha McCauley Jackson.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Joe and Larry, grandchildren Harold Ray Cox, Kristen Walters, Matt Gilbert, Chris Gilbert, Brian Gilbert, and Brad Gilbert, and seven siblings.

Those surviving Blanche are her sons Richard Alan “Dick” Gilbert (Maggie), Terry Gilbert (Kathy) and Tom Gilbert (Toni); daughters Debbie Nestler (Scott), Annie Walters and Betty Cox; daughter-in-law Kristi Gilbert, seventeen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Blanche was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Blanford.

Visitation will be held at Frist Funeral Home on Tuesday May 9, 2023, from 11:00 until service time at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Larry Kelsheimer officiating. Burial will follow at Spangler Cemetery.
