Carl S. “CJ” Cottrell II, 34, of Clinton passed away as a result of an automobile accident Friday August 19, 2022.

He was born in Clinton on May 24, 1988, to Carl S. Cottrell and Cheryl Pacheco.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Norman Cottrell, step-grandfather Roy Kelley, maternal grandparents Chuck and Carol Smith and a nephew Hunter Pinion.

He is survived by his Father Carl (Tanya) Cottrell of Clinton, Mother Cheryl Pacheco, daughters Belinda Jean Ruth and Bailee Rose. Grandmother Ruth Kelley. Siblings Jacqueline Cottrell (Richard Jackson), Jami Murdock, Tiffany Pinion (John Willis), and Jordan (Taylor) Cottrell.  Nieces and nephews Jaydelyn Gomolisky, Madilyn Pinion, Isaiah Cottrell, Owen Pinion, Cougar Cottrell, Greyson Pinion, Gracie Cottrell, Samuel Jackson, and Clint Cottrell. Other survivors include his many uncles and aunts as well as his Hawaii Ohana (family)".

Visitation will be on Friday August 26, 2022, at Frist Funeral Home from 5 to 7pm with service to begin at 7:00 with Pastor Shaun Farley officiating.

Cremation has been chosen.
