Charles "Newt" H. Oaks Jr.

Charles “Newt” H. Oaks Jr., 70, of Clinton, passed away on Friday December 23, 2022.

He was born in St. Louis, MO on April 15, 1952, to Charles H. Oaks Sr., and Ruth Mae Clines Oaks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Suzanne; brothers Wallace and Arkie Oaks Sr., sisters Vickie Frazier, Tillie Cardin, Tessie Cardin, Ollie Collins, Betty Dilsaver; cousin Pee Wee Rickey and his brothers-in-law Mike Maloon and Richard Dilsaver.

Charles is survived by his sons Joe Oaks (Brandy) of Rockville, Charlie Oaks (Laura) or Rockville; brothers Jack Oaks (Georgia) of Rockville; sisters Woozie Maloon of Terre Haute and Suzie Merrit (Dave) of Texas. Also surviving are his grandchildren Charlie, Joey, Minnie, Mae, Colorada; great grandchildren Cody, Sunni, Christian Jean and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Rosedale Masonic Lodge.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Tuesday December 27, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Service will be on Wednesday December 28, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. with Benny Acker officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
