Charlotte Joy Luther 1930-2022

Charlotte Joy (Wagoner) Luther, (91), of The Villages, Florida passed away May 19, 2022. “Joy” was born October 22, 1930 to parents Hal Milton Wagoner and Jessie Bell (Cameron) Wagoner in Waldron, Indiana. She graduated from Waldron High School, Waldron, Indiana. She married Meredith Eugene Luther in 1952. Joy’s family members and loved ones are: son, Britton L. Luther (Mellanie Luther), son, Bradley D. Luther (Kerry Ferguson), grandson, Jeremy B. Luther (Diana Luther) great-granddaughter, Natalie C. Luther, and granddaughter, Laura Luther Welch (Nathan Welch). She is predeceased by her husband Meredith, great-granddaughter, Olivia K. Luther, parents Hal and Jessie Wagoner, brothers, Hal Wagoner Jr. and Neal Wagoner, and sister, Marjorie (Wagoner) Lux.

Joy worked as executive bookkeeper for Circle B Industrial, Indianapolis, Indiana, retiring and moving to Summerfield, Florida with Meredith. She was an avid golfer, scoring a hole in one during a local tournament. Her time was filled through socializing, clubs and travel. She was a member of the Eastern Star and ΔΣΚ Sorority. Her highest priority was a life-long devotion to family and tradition. Joy’s final wish is inurnment next to Meredith, the love of her life at Washington Park East, Indianapolis, Indiana.
