Connie Lou English Jones, 80, of Clinton passed away on Thursday October 9, 2025, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute.

She was born in Independence, Kansas on May 24, 1945, to Homer LeRoy English and Cuba Lee (Phillips) English who precede her in death. Also preceding Connie are her sister Shirley Lee Vester and husband Enoch Thomas Jones.

Connie was an active and dedicated member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Clinton. She loved dining out locally with family and friends and working on her crossword puzzles. Connie enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams the St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana Pacers but everything around her stopped when it was time to watch Survivor and Amazing Race. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to remember Connie are her son Enoch Thomas Jones Jr. (Sue) of Clinton; sisters Anne McGrew of West Terre Haute, Judith Maloof of Terre Haute, Marilyn English of Terre Haute, Becky Dawson (Art) of West Terre Haute, and Cathy Whited (Roy) of Dennison, IL., grandchildren Jessia, Jason and Justin Spence, great-grandchildren Gavin and Elijah Spence, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many cousins and several dear friends including Joan Kehoe and Vicki Sparks whom she met while working at Sony DADC.

The family would like to express their gratefulness for Connie’s care at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care and Union Hospital.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Monday October 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor George Guinn officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
