Dorothy "Granny" Jovanovich

Dorothy I. “Granny” Jovanovich, 90, of Blanford, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
She was born February 14, 1931, in Terre Haute, to Harry and Nellie Prather Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Jovanovich; and 10 siblings, Babe, Helen, Betty, Rose, Rob, Bill, Gene, Jack, Thomas, and Gary.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Jovanovich of Blanford; son Robert (Cindy) Jovanovich of Fairview;  special daughter- granddaughter, Jackie (Roy) Strayer of Clinton; grandchildren, Tyler, Dusty, and Joe Jovanovich; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Helen Wilson and Beth Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
“Granny” was a 50 year member of the Royal Neighbors of Blanford.  She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Blanford for many years.  She was a 1948 graduate of Fayette High School and also graduated from Beauty School.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 1 to 2 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 2 pm at the funeral home with Jeff Russell officiating.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
