Ernest Scott Jr., 71, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 10th, 2021.
Ernest was born July 13th, 1950, to Ernest Sr., and Mildred Dicks Scott in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He was a long-time employee of Chesty Foods. He spent roughly 20 years there, from 1971 to 1991. He then moved his residence to Florida, where he got into the plumbing industry. After around two decades, Ernest returned to Indiana to be closer to his family.
Ernest was a man of many interests. He was an avid bowler, a Texas Hold’em enthusiast, and horse racing always brightened his day.
What made him really prideful was attending his grandkids events. He loved watching them play track, basketball, football, baseball, and performing arts.
Ernest was a 1969 graduate of Wyley High School. He was a member of Eagles 887 of Clinton.
Preceding him in death are both of his parents.
Surviving family members include son, Ernie Scott III (Kathy) of Clinton; daughter, Misty Boyll, of Terre Haute; siblings, Jennifer Long (Ron), Johnnie Scott, Lynn Caudill (Jeff), and Carol Clampitt; grandchildren, Mikaela and Aeron Goodman, Eric Scott, Ethan Scott, Shelby Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Jonnathan Wyrick; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Per his request, Ernest’s family fulfilled his wishes in donating his body to I.U. Medical Center.
