Frederick J. Barushak Sr., 81, of Clinton, passed away on Monday June 16, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Fred was born in Mecca, Indiana on February 22, 1944, to Joe and Vivian Myers Barushak who precede him in death. Also preceding him is his brother John Barushak, and sisters Janet Smith, Carla Wilmes and JoAnn Katzmarek and son-in-law Brad Mansinne.

Fred was a retired United States Air Force Veteran and was a member of USAA and AARP. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Those left behind to remember Fred are his wife Penny (Riley) Barushak, children: Frederick (Tatum) Barushak Jr., Gina Mansinne, Frank Barushak, Chris (Billie) Barushak, Carissa Barushak, Samantha Barushak Newcombe, Amber Barushak and Debra (Alex) Tijerina; brother Bob (Sue) Barushak; grandchildren: Austin, Nicholas, Taylor, Kyler, Kollin, Marissa, Tyler, Conner, Dawson, Greysen and Abby, and great-grandchildren: Skielynn, Kinsley, Thea and Zya and several nieces and nephews.    

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Thursday June 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. Military honors will be performed prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
