Gordon Snider

Gordon Snider, 74, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Gordon was born to Winford and Frances Mazely Snider in Clinton, Indiana on November 25, 1947. He was a 1966 graduate of Montezuma High School.

He was a United States Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam, and was retired from the State Highway Department after 36 years of employment.

Gordon was a member of the American Legion Post 140, and the R.C.C.

He is preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Jimmy Snider, Sr., Gary Snider; son, Christopher Snider.

Gordon is survived by children, Joseph Eric Snider (Amber) of Carrollton, Texas, Amy Norris (Anthony) of Montezuma; sister, Wanda Buttram of Colton, CA; grandchildren, Eric Pruett, Emma Pruett, Jordan Snider, Riley Snider, Jacob Snider, Paxton Snider, great-grandchild, Jameson Pruett; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Gordon will be held from 1pm to 3pm, Friday, February 11, 2022, at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 3pm, also on Friday, with Pastor Larry Snyder officiating. Burial will directly follow services at Helt’s Prairie Cemetery in Hillsdale, Indiana with Military Honors.
