Guy Franklin “Frank” Long III, 69, of Clinton, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born in Clinton, Indiana on May 24, 1955, to Guy F. Long Jr. and Naomi Baldwin Long.

Those preceding Guy in death are his father Guy F. Long II, mother Naomi Baldwin Sherrill, stepfather William Sherrill, brother Jerry Sherrill, nephew Danny Sherrill Jr., nieces Amanda Pugh and Dru Lyndell Morrison, brothers-in-law Steve Barden and Larry Hayes.

Frank was a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1973. He retired in June 2016 from International Paper in Newport after nearly 41 years. Frank enjoyed classic cars, swap meets and going to car shows. His motto was “Mopar or no Car.”

Surviving are his wife, Cinda Barden Long of Clinton, who he married May 25, 1995, daughter, Sheri Long of Clinton, sons, Joe Long (Anna) of Paris, IL., Donald Mason Jr. (Stacey) of Terre Haute, and Jeremy Mason (Robin Osborn) of Blanford; brothers, Roger Long of Clinton, David Sherrill (Nikki) of Clinton, Danny Sherrill of Michigan; sisters, Lori Pugh Anderson (Mike) of West Terre Haute, Sue Giles of Michigan and Sally Scraper of Indiana, sisters-in-law Linda Hayes, and Glenda Morrison (Terry); 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society or Union Hospital Foundation in honor of the Amanda Pugh Memorial Nursing Scholarship. in Memory of Frank.
