Hugh "Bud" Carpenter

Hugh “Bud” Carpenter, 74, of Clinton, was called home on January 2, 2022, passing peacefully in his sleep with his beloved dogs by his side. 

Bud was born to Everett and Helen Williamson Carpenter on December 3, 1947.  He had a great love for the outdoors, loved gardening, farm animals, a good John Wayne movie, a long conversation with a good friend and by far loved the title of “PaPa” the most.  

He was preceded in death by, his parents; brothers, Robert, George and Edward Carpenter; granddaughters Christlynn and Jacelynn. 

He is leaves behind his wife, Christy Carpenter of Clinton; brothers; Henry Carpenter and Mike Wheeler, both of Marshall Il, sons; Hugh (Natasha) Carpenter of Clinton, Rob Peffley of Prairieton; daughters, Georgina (Willie) Williams, Christena (Roger) Doan of Rosedale, IN; lifelong friend, Steven Tingley of Marshall Il; grandchildren, Kaden and Addyson Lindsey, Lincoln and Landon Doan, Autumn and “Lil Bud Carpenter” Ethan Dreher, Genie, William, David and Katie Williams, and Teresa and Maria Resendiz. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made towards funeral expenses.

Visitation for Bud will be held from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton, Indiana. Services will follow at 1pm, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Curtis officiating.
