James “Jim” Michael Lawson, 76, of Clinton passed on Saturday February 22, 2025.
He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 22, 1948, to Everett Lawson and Doyne (Poff) Lawson who precede him in death along with brothers Bob and Don Lawson.
Jim was a firefighter with the Clinton Fire Department for 20 years and an EMT for 8 years. He was also on the Clinton City Reserve Police Department. Jim married Dianna Myers Lawson on September 16, 1978, sharing 46 years together.
Jim is survived by his wife Dianna, sons: Doug, Mike, Greg and Steven; daughter Brenda, brother Bill, sisters Peg and Janice; four granddaughters, four grandsons, and two great-grandchildren.
Honoring Jim’s wishes cremation was chosen. There will be no service. Final arrangements have been entrusted to First Funeral Home.
