Jeannette I. Wallace, 95 of Clinton passed away on Saturday August 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born in Clinton, Indiana on April 24, 1929, to Alonzo and Helen (Thomas) Howe who precedes Jeannette in death along with her husband Chester E. Wallace and her sisters and brothers.

Jeannette was the head cook at Van Duyn Elementary School, a member or Purdue Extension Club of Vermillion County, a member of Vermillion County Senior Citizens, and a past member of State Line Christian Church.

Survivors include her sons: Robert Wallace (Sharon) of Clinton, Randall Wallace (Sandra) of Clinton, and Mark Wallace (Connie) of Concord, North Carolina; daughter, Nancy Shonkwiler (Rick) of Burlington, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Jeannette’s wishes there will be no service. She has been laid to rest at Spangler Cemetery. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Frist Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Jeannette’s life, given by her children, will be on Friday September 27, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church on 917 S. 5th St., Clinton, Indiana from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
