Jerry Lee Jenkins, 91, of Clinton passed away on Saturday, January 18. 2025 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born in Clinton, Indiana on March 7, 1933, to Jonathan and Mabel Akers Jenkins who precede him in death along with his wife Lorraine Hillenbrand Jenkins, sister Carol Jenkins Berry and great-granddaughter Gracie Corbin.
Jerry and Lorraine were married on March 8, 1953. He was in the United States Army serving our country during the Korean war. Jerry ran the Shell Gas Station on main street and the station at 9th and Maryland. He worked at The Daily Clintonian, and the Tribune Star, as well as working maintenance for Northwind Apartments and the Clinton Chateau.
Those left behind to remember Jerry are his sons Davy Jenkins (Teresa), Mike Jenkins (Tina) and Jeff Jenkins (Kim) and Joe Jenkins; grandchildren Lisa Jenkins, Amy Corbin (Matt), Rick Jenkins (Dora), Lindsey Jenkins, Breanna Jenkins and Nick Jenkins; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Friday January 24, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Service at 2:00 p.m. with military honors prior to the service. Cremation was chosen.
