Jimmy "Jim" Snider Obituary

Jimmy “Jim” R. Snider, Sr., of Clinton, was surrounded by his family when he went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2022 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

 Jim was born on January 30, 1940 to Frances Snider (Mazely) and Winford Snider of Hillsdale, Indiana. On December 7, 1962, Jim married his wife, Linda S. Snider (Wiseman) of Woodville, Ohio. Together they have three children. Jim was a retired navy veteran who served 20 years in the military. He loved the Lord and was a vital member of the community as owner and pastor of Hillcrest Community Center along with his wife, Linda. He was also a member of the Vermillion County Ministerial Association and several other organizations within the community.

 Jim is survived by his wife, Linda, brother, Gordon Snider of Clinton Indiana and sister, Wanda Buttram (Snider) of Colton, California. Also surviving are his children, Jim (Donna) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Jennifer (Rick) of West Terre Haute, Indiana; and David (Brooke) of Clinton, Indiana, as well as his grandchildren, Austin (Megan), Jacob, Caleb, and Emma and several nieces and nephews.

 

Due to the circumstances with COVID, private graveside services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022. A celebration of life service will held at a later date.
