John Ditzler, 58, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Rosedale, Indiana, surrounded by family.

John was born June 26, 1963 to Gale and Patricia Fisher Ditzler in Elkhart County, Indiana.

He was a 1981 graduate of Rosedale High School. John was also a 1985 Purdue University graduate, earning a degree in horticulture.

John made friends easily. His many friends considered him very generous, and they enjoyed his unique sense of humor.

John worked in fruit production, pest control, equipment sales, and storm renovation services. He was particularly proud of his role in establishing Ditzler Orchard and his management work during the early years of the orchard.

He is preceded in death by his father.

John is survived by his mother, Patricia of Rosedale; daughter, Ashley Ditzler of Linton; brothers, Steven Paquata of Belleview, Iowa, Mauri (Judi) Ditzler of Rosedale; sisters, Beth (Russell) Hazen of Plymoth, Paula (Lee) Steven of Fredricksburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12pm-1pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton. Services will follow visitation at 1pm with Pastor Mike Slaven officiating. Burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Rosedale will follow services.
