John L. Hoggatt, 85, of Clinton, passed away Friday, August 13th, 2021, at Union Hospital in Clinton.
John was born to John L. Hoggatt, Sr. and Letha Reynolds Hoggatt in Clinton on October 9th, 1935. He was an Army Veteran, and had retired from Mike’s Motors after more than 40 years of employment.
He is preceded in death by both parents; sister, Katherine Beaver; brothers, Joe Hoggatt, Billy Hoggatt, and Robert Hoggatt.
John is survived by his wife, Darlene Hoggatt of Clinton; son, Kenneth Allan Hoggatt (Gail) of Clinton; daughter, Leslie Jean Godar (Steve) of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Samantha Nicole Wiegand of Waterloo, IL, Tyler Godar of Fairmount City, IL; step-grandson, Michael Beighley, of Clinton; great grandchildren, Kinley, Molly and Nolan, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17th, 2021, at Frist Funeral Home, from 11am – 1pm. Services will be at 1pm with Celebrant Marta Adubato officiating. Burial will directly follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton, IN.
