John Wesley Malone Jr., 83, of Clinton passed away on Monday,

 November 25, 2024, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute. John was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on June 11, 1941, to John Wesley Malone Sr. and Joan Vallero Malone.

John was a graduate of Clinton High School Class of 1959 and a graduate of Ball State University for both his undergraduate and master’s degrees. He was a member of Clinton Optimist Club, Clinton F.O.E #887 and Clinton Chamber of Commerce. He was also on the Terre Haute Board of Realtors, and he was a commissioner for Indiana State Boxing. John received the Sagamore of The Wabash Valley Award as well as the 50 Year Business Award. In his early years, John was a teacher at Pendleton Correctional Facility. He went on to own and operate Malone Realty and Insurance for over 60 years, representing the second of four generations to operate the family business.

John took great pride in everything he was involved with and made strong and lasting connections with those he met along the way. John will be remembered by friends and family for his zest for life, giving nature, witty humor, creativity, natural talent, and intelligence.

Preceding John in death are his parents, and his son John “Jack” Wesley Malone III.

Those in mourning of the loss of John are his daughters Laura Redmond (Daniel) and Michelle Tucker (Darrin) both of Clinton; grandchildren Sean Malone (AJ), Michael Malone, Zac Kempf (Kat), Megan LaRue (Jacob) and Matthew Tucker, and great-grandchildren Callan Malone and Wesley LaRue.
