Kathryn R. Petrin, 66, of Dana, passed away on Monday May 29, 2023, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 27, 1956, to Thadeus Steward and Roberta Hardman.

Kathryn was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma; she was longtime 4-H leader in Vermillion County; she was a member of D.A.R. and the Vermillion County Historical Society.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her mother; two daughters Dawnanne Marie Miller and Robyn Blair; husband Randall Petrin, and stepmother Julia Stewart.

Those surviving Kathryn are her daughter Amanda Shell (Eric) of Dana; son Luke Miller of Carmel; her father Thad Stewart of Terre Haute, sisters Karen Jenkins (Larry) of Rosedale, IN., Kim Ross (Kevin) of Brazil, IN., brothers Thad Stewart (Laura) of Rochester, IN., and Tom Stewart (Tari) of Dana, IN., stepsisters Donna Williams of Terre Haute, IN., Tammy Delph (John) of Dugger, IN., and stepbrother Chuck Johnson (Bobbi) of Rosedale, IN.; six grandchildren Christopher Sanders and Erica Shell of Dana, Luke Miller of Carmel, Grant Blair and Randall Blair of Clinton, Jasper Stewart of Dana. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Frist Funeral Home on Thursday June 1, 2023, from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Service will be on Friday June 2, 2023, at 1:00 with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
