Marjorie Ellen (Adams) Lucas
Marge, 83, entered eternal paradise on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:43 a.m.
Marge was born March 12, 1942, in Clinton, Indiana to Howard and Ruth (Bentley) Adams. She was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. At that time, she worked at Dog ‘N’ Suds and later Faraco’s Jewelry Store. When she married and had children she stayed at home and was able to care for her children. When her children got older, she moved to Indianapolis and began a job at IUPUI Police Department typing police reports. The minute she found out she was going to be a grandmother she moved back to Clinton so she could help care for her grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Lucas; two brothers, Denny, and Dwight “Butch” Adams; and her parents.
Marge is survived by two children, Jacki Lucas-Judy of Clinton and Mike (Lori) Lucas of Florida; two grandchildren, Lyssa Judy (Bradley) and, Mikey Lucas; one great-grandchild, Gracie Mae McCall; her brother-in-law, Robert and Hughlene Lucas of Rock Hill, South Carolina; sisters-in-law Vada Coker of McConnells, South Carolina, Gwynne Lucas of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Joyce Adams of Paris, Illinois; and nieces and nephews.
She loved scrapbooking, cooking, baking, and watching, and ordering from QVC, but most importantly her family and friends.
To VCC, Clinton Union Hospital, Gentiva Hospice: there are not enough words to describe the family’s gratitude to the staff; all of whom treated Marge and her family with nothing but kindness, love, gentleness, and compassion over the last several months and her final days.
Cremation has been chosen, and the family is respecting Marge’s wishes with no service.
