Marsha Alice Garaffa

Marsha Alice Garaffa, 76, of Clinton, Indiana died at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana on April 20, 2023.

She was born in Clinton on September 5, 1946, to Charles and Mary Martha Wright Garaffa.

Preceding Marsha in death were her parents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Marsha is survived by several cousins including Donna S. Chaney, Larry Stafford (Kathy), Travis Garaffa, Rei Aimee Fulford, Myrna Wright, Mort Wright Jr., Dorothy Amerman, Walter Wright, Nancy Harris, Vickie Wilson, Jack Wright, Terry Wright, Bob Wright, Stephanie Hagedorn and Michael Kelley and family with whom she spent many happy holidays.

Marsha led a busy life. She graduated from Clinton High School with the Class of 1964. She worked at Dormeyer in Rockville and for several years at Columbia Records in Terre Haute. In the 1970’s she started working at Eli Lilly in Clinton and later worked at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis until she retired.

She took a trip to Italy in 1975 and later a trip to Hawaii and loved to go to Michigan and Indianapolis to see her favorite NASCAR and IndyCar Drivers. She was a loyal fan of Notre Dame and the Colts. She also bowled in several leagues and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

A child at heart, she loved to take her cousins to the Shrine Circus and the movies. Her love of Snoopy was well-known and her house and clothes reflected that. She had an extensive collection of Snoopy memorabilia and enjoyed giving Snoopy ornaments and cards to family and friends.

She will be remembered by special friends Annette Donzero, Jackie Heady and Margaret Alsman.

A celebration of life will be held at Walnut Grove Chapel on North Main Street in Clinton on Friday May 5, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. Cremation was chosen.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Frist Funeral Home.
