Mary Jean (Jeanie) Nestler Certain passed away on Sunday May 31, 2026, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 10, 1949, to the late Eugene Nestler and Mary K. (English) Nestler Jones.

Jeanie was a 1968 graduate of Clinton High School. On June 9, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Harold F. (Frank) Certain Jr. who preceded her in death on March 15, 2011.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Harold F. Certain Sr., and Mabel (Alice) Certain; stepfather, Ike Jones, and nephew, Zachary Nestler.

Surviving Jeanie is her daughter, Michele (Donnie) Bogetto; son, Anthony (Amy) Certain; grandchildren, Cayli (Greg) Sandusky, Dalton (Claire) Bogetto, Alex (Olivia) Certain, and Austin (Hallie) Certain; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Leighton & Lachlan Sandusky, Margaret Certain, and Maverick Certain; sisters, Brenda (Dave) Arthur, and Tracy (John) Spray; brother, Deno (Jeanne) Nestler; brother-in-law, Tom (Jackie) Certain; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was lucky to have some very special cousins that she grew up with, and she was close enough to them that she truly thought of them as siblings. They went out of their way to help, visit, and make sure she was taken care of when she lost her husband. Cousins, Scott (Debbie) Nestler, Toni Inman, Gena (Tim) Caskey, Susie (Jim) Myers, Cindy Boyd, and Sammie (Dan) Barker.

While raising her own children, Jeanie spent many years helping raise and care for many of her close friends’ children, through her in-home daycare, and owning her own nursery school.

Most importantly she LOVED her family and spending as much time with them as possible. Whether trying to make every sporting event, theatre performance, or school activity. She loved to bake and cook, and anyone who knew her knows just how much it meant to the people she loved. Her Thumbprint Cookies were the best, and you never came for dinner where there wasn’t a dessert or 3 to follow.
