Mary Lou (Kelley) Cottrell Obituary


Mary Lou (Kelley) Cottrell, age 87, of Union, OH passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Kettering Hospital.  She was born August 20, 1934 in Vermillion County, IN, the daughter of Otto and Helen (Kidd) Kelley.  
Mary Lou was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She retired from Smith Industries.  She was a faithful member of Redemption Christian Tabernacle in Tipp City where she loved to do work for her Lord.  Mary Lou loved to tend to her flowers, sit in her swing, watch the birds and read her bible. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Cottrell; parents: Otto and Helen (Kidd) Kelley; brothers: Kenneth, Wayne, Roy and Dale; and sisters: Eleanor Rollins, Carole Hale and Ruth Ann Kelley.
Survivors include her sons: Bill (Annette) Cottrell and Jeff (Belinda) Cottrell; daughters: Linda Flaugher and Jerri (Pat) Henderson; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Redemption Christian Tabernacle, 11780 N. Dixie Drive, Tipp City, where the funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm.  Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton, IN.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Redemption Christian Tabernacle for the food bank and outreach.
