Misty D. Payton, 45, of Saint Bernice, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice in Terre Haute.

She was born in Paris, Illinois on August 2, 1978, to Phillip Hutson and Betty Capps Hutson.

Misty is preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband Bill Payton of St. Bernice, Mother Betty Hutson of St. Bernice, sons Damon Russell of St. Bernice and his girlfriend Sierra Tomich of Clinton, Gage Payton, and Dalton Payton both of St. Bernice, adopted son Holden Southard of St. Bernice and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Ed and Jackie Payton.

Misty was a member of the Saint Bernice ladies Auxiliary 108. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved sunflowers.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Monday January 22, 2024, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Service at 1:00pm with Rev. Garrett Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Chrisman, Illinois.
