Patricia Ann (Amerman) Beai

Patricia Ann Beai, age 83, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Pat was born September 18, 1939, in Clinton, Indiana, a daughter of James and Frances (Runyan) Amerman. She was a graduate of Saint Bernice High School in Saint Bernice, Indiana. She worked at Bemis in Terre Haute, IN doing administrative work after graduating high school. She married Ronald L. Beai on December 22, 1963, in Shepherdsville, IN. Her husband was in the service, and they lived in North Little Rock, AR, and she worked at a Credit Bureau. The couple moved back to Terre Haute, IN and later moved to Morgantown, WV in 1968. Her husband worked for the Bureau of Prisons and was transferred to Marion, IL in 1970. She was a homemaker, raising her daughter, Lori, until 1980 when she worked at Norge in Herrin. In 1991 she started work at Marion Carnegie Library, retiring in 2014. Working at the library was a dream job for Pat as she was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband Ronald L. Beai of Marion, IL; one daughter, Lori A. Beai of Carbondale, IL; and two siblings, Virginia Smith of Danville, IL and Michael Amerman of Indianapolis, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Frances Amerman and four brothers, Leland "Buddy" Amerman, Frank "Butch" Amerman, James Amerman, and Warren Amerman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. (Indiana time) at Walnut Grove Cemetery Chapel in Clinton, Indiana with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating.
