Patricia McCarty (Thompson), age 69, passed away on April 17, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m. at Ben Hur Nursing Home located in Crawfordsville, IN.

She was born on October 8, 1953, in Clinton, IN to Bobby and Lara Jean Thompson. She had three brothers, Mark, Steve, and David. She was raised in Rockville and graduated from Rockville High School in 1971. She married her husband Dennis in 2006 but has been with him for nearly 40 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always poured her love and attention into her family. She spent many years self-employed, providing elderly in-home care. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and fishing with her husband Dennis and spending time with her family. She also loved watching football and basketball, her favorite teams being the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bobby and Lara Jean Thompson, as well as her brothers, Mark, Steve, and David Thompson.

She is survived by her husband Dennis McCarty; son Nathan McCarty and his wife Saravina McCarty; her grandchildren Ryker and Murdock McCarty; stepson Jason McCarty; step-grandson Jason Jr.; stepdaughter Christina McCarty; and mother-in-law Norma McCarty.

She will be cremated and buried with her husband Dennis at the time of his passing in the future. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana in honor of Patricia.
