Randall “Randy” D. Turpen, 67, of St. Bernice, passed away October 5th, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on August 7th, 1954, to Robert D. and Barbara Skinner Turpen in Paris, Illinois.
Randy was a music lover with a special place in his heart for Pink Floyd. He enjoyed watching NHRA Drag Racing, was always thrilled to attend car shows, and peruse the assortment of custom and restored treasures lining the streets.
Randy retired from Indiana State University in January of 2016, where he was employed as an events setup technician. Still, Randy enjoyed being around others, returning to part-time work, recently being employed with Watrin Truck Repair.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley; parents, Robert and Barbara Turpen; sister, Deanna K. Fales; brother, David E. Turpen; former wife, Martha Turpen.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Allisha Staten (Nicholas); stepdaughter, Serena Gasche; stepson, Christopher McHaley; grandchildren, Adeline Gasche, and Max Gasche; sister, Debbie Turpen; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Randy will be held from 4pm to 6pm, Sunday, October 24th, 2021, at Frist Funeral Home, service promptly following with Pastor Bill Duke officiating.
