Rebecca “Becky” J. Sharp, 78, of Clinton passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

She was born in Sullivan, Indiana on May 13, 1947, to James Kirkwood and Mary (Michael) Kirkwood who precede Becky in death. Also preceding is her husband Steven Sharp, and her brother Jim Kirkwood.

Becky loved to sew and she was a former member of the Gold Wing Club. She was an X-Ray Technician before she and her husband Steven opened Sharp Mini Mart on Elm St. which they ran for many years.

Surviving is a daughter, Shelley Luft (Tom) of Clinton; sons, Norm Sharp (Alison) of Avon, and Troy Sharp (Jennifer) of West Terre Haute; brother-in-law Dennis “Dick” Sharp of West Terre Haute; grandchildren, Nathan Luft (Taylor), Rachel Smith (Adam), Jordan Sharp, Luke Sharp, Ashlyn Sharp, and Aiden Sharp; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Karter, and Kayleigh and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Tuesday January 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton First United Methodist Church – Backpack Program.
