Richard A. Gilbert, 69, passed away on Friday July 4, 2025, at his home in Clinton.
He was born in Clinton, Indiana on January 17, 1956, to Lawrence Gilbert and Blanche (Jackson) Gilbert.
Preceding Richard in death are his parents, brothers Larry Gilbert, Joe Gilbert, and Terry Gilbert, one niece and five nephews.
Richard was a retired printer and loved playing his guitar. He was a member of the Gilbert Brothers Band and was inducted into the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame.
Those left behind to remember Richard are his wife Maggie Gilbert of Clinton, daughter Heather (Tony) Mullins of Clinton, son Joshua (Bre) Gilbert of Clinton, brother Tom (Toni) Gilbert of Blanford, sisters Debbie (Scott) Nestler of Fairview, Annie Walters of St. Bernice, and Betty Cox of North Carolina, sisters-in-law Kristi Gilbert of Clinton, and Kathy Gilbert of Clinton, grandchildren Megan Natalie, Jaxon Mullins and Joshua Gilbert Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Richards wishes cremation was chosen. There will be no service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
