Ronald J. Harmon

Ronald J. Harmon, 77, of Terre Haute passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on August 15, 1948, to Donald Harmon and Rosemary (Barnett) Harmon who precede Ron in death along with infant sister Donna Rose. Ron grew up in West Terre Haute and graduated from West Vigo High School in 1966.

Ron served honorably in the United State Army and belonged to American Legion Post #177. Ron married Susan R. Benton on March 11, 1979, and she survives. He worked as a Sr. Process Operator at Eli Lilly for 35 years, retiring in 2005. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them, traveling to the beach, and watching baseball as an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Surviving Ron are his wife, Susan (Benton) Harmon of Terre Haute; sons, Zane Harmon (Kristen) of Florida, and Chris Benton (Angie) of Terre Haute; daughter, Libby Call (Ryan) of Brownsburg; brothers, Curt Harmon (Mary Jo) of Texas, and Jeff Harmon of West Terre Haute; grandchildren, Peyton, Hannah, Caleb (Makenna), Zach, Grant and Evan, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Bono Cemetery.
