Ruth Ann Dowdy, 94, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Union Hospital.

Ruth Ann was born in Clinton, on March 27, 1927 to Harry and Faye Myers Dowdy, and was raised by Harry and Ruth Ritcheson Dowdy.

Ruth Ann was retired from a long career in nursing, working for Dr. R.C. Speas in the Tribune Building and later in ambulatory services at Union Hospital. She was a member of the Terre Haute First Baptist Church, where she adored attending.

She is preceded in death by both parents, and birth-mother, Faye.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Cropp, and by cousins, Tim, Tom and Chris Cloyd.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 27th at the Terre Haute First Baptist Church from 11am till 12pm, noon, services to follow promptly at 12pm, with Pastor John Campbell officiating. Burial will follow services at Roselawn Memorial Park.
