Sharon K. Vorek, 83, of Clinton passed away on Sunday January 18, 2026.
She was born in Clinton, Indiana on October 1, 1942, to John and Grace (Curry) Giacherio. Sharon retired as a Field Auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Vorek; sons, Ronald “Chip” Vorek, and John Vorek; granddaughter Carlie Zamani; great-granddaughter Lindley Vorek; sisters, Donetta Mosier, and Elaine Miller; daughter-in-law, Lori Vorek, and son-in-law Dan Dailey.
Sharon was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Catholic Women’s Club. She was a former LIFT board member as well as serving on the board of Team of Mercy. Sharon also belonged to the Business and Professional Women’s Club and at one time she was also a Lioness Club member.
Sharon was known for cooking Italian meals for her family, friends, and those in need. She enjoyed attending school events for her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She also enjoyed a fine glass of wine and “the recipe” while playing cards with her neighbors. She lived life to the fullest.
Those left behind to remember Sharon is her daughter, Gayla Dailey of Linton, IN., sister, Deeann Bennett and special brother-in-law Wilbur Bennett of West Baden Springs, IN., sister-in-law Vicky Decker of West Terre Haute, IN., daughter-in-law Kara Vorek of Clinton; granddaughters, Lindsay Goodman, Kalynn Wilson (Aaron) and Kamryn Dailey (Zeke Scott), grandson Chris Vorek (Brenda) and Andrew Zamani (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Abbi, Charlotte, Andrew and Kynley Zamani; Casen and Bradlee Vorek and Kolson Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Wednesday January 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30. Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton on Thursday January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Todd Riebe officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clinton United Methodist Church – Backpack Program or Saron United Church of Christ – Women’s Mission in memory of Sharon. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
