Steven W. Brooks, 72, of Clinton, died March 3, 2022, at 11:06 AM, in his residence.  He was born July 25, 1949, in Bloomington, IL, to Harold Brooks and Esther Scarberry Brooks. 

He was a Union painter Local #80, out of the Lafayette Painter’s Union, a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #140, One-Half Century Club, and the Eagles #887.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 42 years, Judy Brooks; his parents; and his brothers Harold and Roger. 

He is survived by his children, Michael (Christy) Diener of Dana, Cindy (Mike) Goldner of Terre Haute, Steven Brooks, Jr. of Florida, Penny (Dave) Fontaine of Armington, IL, and Donald (Christy) Brooks of Wentzville, MO; two brothers, David Brooks (Cheryl) of Normal, IL and Jerry (Linda) Brooks of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Mary Kay Murphy of Dayton, OH and Donna Zirkel of Utah; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Frist Funeral Home, with Marta Adubato officiating. Services will immediately follow.  Cremation was chosen.  Online condolences may be made at www.fristfuneralhome.com.
